< Guidelines -26th IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC 2021)

Submission

Papers must be submitted electronically as a PDF file
through the conference management system, at:
https://edas.info/N28231

The manuscripts under review should describe original work and should be no more than 7 pages in the IEEE double column proceedings format including tables, figures, and references. Download manuscript templates for IEEE conference proceedings www.ieee.org/ conferences_events/ conferences/ publishing/ templates.html. Note that accepted papers up to 6 pages will be published with no additional charge. Exceeding pages will be charged an additional fee. Papers exceeding 7 pages will not be accepted at EDAS, unless the TPC chairs approve this after a proper justification.

Extended versions of selected best papers will be recommended for publication in special issues of prestigious international journals.

At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register to the conference and present the paper. Only registered and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings.

In IEEE ISCC 2021, all submissions must be done through EDAS in the link https://edas.info/N28231. Please contact the Technical Program Co-Chairs for any questions regarding the submission of manuscripts.

Publication

Accepted papers will be included in the ISCC 2021 Proceedings and will be submitted for inclusion to IEEE Xplore®. The IEEE ISCC Proceedings have been indexed in the past by ISI, dblp and Scopus. This makes the IEEE ISCC conference one of the publication venues with very high visibility and impact in both Computer and Communications areas.

Camera-Ready Guidelines

  • 1. Add copyright notice in the manuscript

    1. Use ONLY the IEEE template for your manuscript.
    2. Add the copyright notice to your manuscript. In detail, replace the "XXX-X-XXXX-XXXX-X/XX/$XX.00 ©20XX IEEE" with "978-1-6654-2744-9/21/$31.00 ©2021 IEEE" at the left bottom of the first page (footer) of your source file (e.g. Word or LateX* files).

    • Other copyrights notices:
      1. For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 978-1-6654-2744-9/21/$31.00 ©2021 European Union
      2. For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-6654-2744-9/21/$31.00 ©2021 Crown
      3. For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright

    (*) If you use LateX, add the following code before \begin {} command:
    %%%%%%%for the copyright notice at the footer%%%%%%%%%%%
    \usepackage[pscoord]{eso-pic}
    \newcommand{\placetextbox}[3]{
    \setbox0=\hbox{#3}
    \AddToShipoutPictureFG*{
    \put(\LenToUnit{#1\paperwidth},\LenToUnit{#2\paperheight}){\vtop{{\null}\makebox[0pt][c]{#3}}}
    }
    }
    \placetextbox{.21}{0.055}{\small{978-1-6654-2744-9/21/\$31.00~\copyright2021 IEEE}}

  • 2. Steps for the CAMERA-READY submission

    1. Validate your manuscript using the IEEE PDF eXpress. Any changes made to a PDF after IEEE PDF eXpress conversion or PDF Checking may invalidate Xplore compatibility. All PDFs to be included in IEEE Xplore® should be validated through PDF eXpress for Xplore compatibility.

      • First-time users of PDF eXpress should do the following::
        1. Select the New Users - Click Here link.
        2. Enter the following:
          --53001X for the Conference ID
          -- your email address
          -- a password
        3. Continue to enter information as prompted. An online confirmation will be displayed, and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.
      • Previous users of PDF eXpress
        You need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

    2. Submit your validated PDF to the EDAS platform.

  • 3. Sign the COPYRIGHT for your manuscript

    1. For accepted papers in the DistInSys Workshop
      Within the next few hours, your will receive an email by IEEE with a link to the online electronic copyright form (eCF) wizard, as well as a unique login name and password to access your own copyright form(s). When you complete the online copyright transfer process and submit the form, you will receive an automated confirmation email letting you know that the copyright sign has been completed successfully.
    2. For all other accepted papers
      Use the special button that can be found on the EDAS platform (besides your manuscript’s title) to sign the copyright form.

    If you fail to strictly follow all the above guidelines, IEEE may refuse to index your manuscript in the IEEE Xplore, even though that work may have already been accepted at the IEEE ISCC 2021 conference for oral presentation.
